Designed to take the outer jacked off of common wires such as Romex and SO cables, the Knipex dismantling knife (model 98 55) features an ergonomically improved handle shape with comfortable slip guard that's insulated to 1,000 volts — great for working on live wire. This dismantling knife's solid, fixed hook blade has two cutting blades — one on the outside and another on the inside turning point — as well as a guide show that's designed to slide along the inside conductors of the wire and prevent nicking or damaging the inner conductor.
